Life After Domestic Violence Group: A Curriculum for Victims/Survivors of Domestic Violence
Our program for survivors of domestic violence is geared towards empowering survivors with the necessary emotional tools they need to become successful in life. Often, survivors of domestic violence face the challenge of “picking themselves” up again and finding their purpose in life after they have been battered. This program consists of a 16-week curriculum that asks this core question to every participant: What next after domestic violence?
Some of the curriculum topics include:
Empowerment
What About the Children? Impact of domestic violence on children
Safety Planning
Rebuilding your life
Boundaries in relationships: Health vs. Unhealthy Boundaries
Effects of domestic violence on victims
Finding faith again, and many more topics
Services are also available in Spanish.
