Clinical Supervision

Grace Abounds Counseling provides structured, standards-based clinical supervision for professionals seeking licensure and credentialing in the State of New Jersey.

Our supervision services are designed to ensure clinical competency, ethical practice, regulatory compliance, and readiness for independent professional responsibility.

Supervision is conducted in accordance with state licensing board requirements and applicable professional standards.

LAC Supervision (Licensed Associate Counselor)

Supervision is structured to support:

  • Advanced case conceptualization
  • Diagnostic accuracy and differential diagnosis
  • Development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Risk assessment and crisis management
  • Clinical documentation and record integrity
  • Ethical decision-making and professional boundaries

All supervision hours are documented in accordance with state board requirements.

CADC Supervision (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)

Supervision includes focus on:

  • Comprehensive substance use assessment
  • DSM-based diagnostic formulation
  • Level of care determination
  • Treatment planning for substance use disorders
  • Co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Relapse prevention and recovery planning
  • Ethical and legal considerations in addiction counseling

Supervisees are expected to demonstrate progressive clinical competence and adherence to established professional standards.

Supervision Structure

Group supervision may be available when appropriate and in accordance with licensing regulations.

Fees & Payment

Supervision is offered on a private-pay basis.

Fees vary depending on the format (individual or group supervision) and frequency of sessions. Current rates and payment policies will be reviewed during the initial consultation.

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. Supervision fees are separate from any employment compensation and are not reimbursable through insurance.

Eligibility & Expectations

Supervisees must:

  • Hold appropriate provisional credentials
  • Maintain an active caseload consistent with supervision requirements
  • Demonstrate professional accountability
  • Comply with all ethical and regulatory standards
  • Maintain professional liability coverage
