About Amy Chang, LAC

My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.

When life feels overwhelming, it can be difficult to slow down and tend to our own wellbeing. My hope is to provide a warm, compassionate space where you can pause, take a breath, and together process some of the weight you have been carrying.

At the heart of my counseling philosophy is the belief that overall wellbeing involves caring for our mental and emotional needs while cultivating balance in the different areas of our lives. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate life’s complexities and challenges, drawing from evidenced-based practices and practical tools to support meaningful growth and progress.

Together, we can explore your unique story, uncover areas for healing and change, and develop a path forward that aligns with your needs.

Here is information about my training.

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) in New Jersey. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and completed my supervised clinical training for my program at Grace Abounds Counseling. I also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in English from Villanova University.

My Approach

My approach is individualized and grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. In my work, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy.

By integrating these techniques, I hope to help clients navigate their diverse concerns, including but not limited to stress, anxiety, depression, mood regulation, behavioral regulation, family/marital conflict, parenthood, and life transitions.

Through the counseling process, clients can look forward to developing a greater sense of self, recognizing how their experiences have shaped them, and approaching the future with greater clarity and purpose.
